Hi friends!
I’m Megan!
My passion for birth, babies, and breastfeeding was born along with my first children (twins!).
Having obtained a Masters in Social Work, specializing in child welfare, I thought I had it all figured out. But once the twins arrived, I realized I had no idea how much I didn’t know, how much help I would need, and how much I would need to advocate for myself. As I struggled to figure it all out and gather support with a deployed husband, I knew that I wanted to be part of that support system for other mothers in the future.
I had three more kiddos, all with different births, nursing challenges, and temperaments, and each addition increased my desire to help other parents. I have trained as a doula, a postpartum doula, and have taken 45 hours of instruction to be a lactation counselor/educator.
My trainings paired with my extensive personal experiences have prepared me to be a compassionate, informed, and empathic part of your birth and parenting support system.
